Founded 1975 by Jim Jannard in Southern California, Oakley meant the coming into being of an extraordinary label for extraordinary people. The designers, scientitsts and athletes behind the product have most notably on thing in common: mediocrity is not an option. The foundations of Oakley's success story were laid by Jim Janard 1975 with this revolutionary handgrip for motocross. Dirt and snow Goggles quickly followed as wll as the present outstanding selection of sport-, sun- or optic-shades for high-performance athletes. 1999 the first clothing collections were launched.
