Bench was founded in Bristol at the beginnings of the 90s. Initially, it was a small men's label rooted in the skateboard and BMX scenes. Their relocation to Manchester and the proximity to the local music scene conferred the brand in the middle of the 90s a cool, insurgent image. It rapidly prospered to one of most demanded labels, which attracted both trendsetters and celebrities. Bench offers since 1998 an equally successful womenswear collection. Known for its eye-catching printed t-shirts and sweatshirts, Bench has developed to an internationally-established lifestyle-label with the distinctive image of being "different".
